Welcome

One of the most effective ways to allow the Word of God to affect your life is to study it inductively. That is what this blog is all about. Typically one verse per day will be mined for insight and then followed up with how I plan to implement that insight practically. My prayer is that in some way you find this useful in your journey and that it may impact you positively. -G

Proverbs 31:7 - Contentment

Proverbs 31:7 Let them drink and forget their poverty
and remember their misery no more.

Remember that this is not an invitation or permission to use alcoholic beverage as a lifestyle it is an instruction for a young king. His mother is drawing the distinction of who he is and how he should act and then there are the rest of the people that he needs to see as those who need him to be sober minded for them. For the most part the regular people lived in relative poverty compared to Solomon, so Bathsheba is saying that drinking wine to forget their misery is ok for them but not for him who is in the lap of luxury and has many responsibilities.

Application
Remain cognizant of the responsibilities that the Lord has given me and to find contentment therein.
