Galatians 6:8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
I love the fact that this is an equation, a law that applies equally to everyone, this is the grace of God because He has revealed it to us. Gravity always works, boyancy always works, aerodynamics always works for everyone, believer, unbeliever no matter. and so it is with this spiritual law. It just works. This is great news. It is not a matter of being blessed. It is a matter of what seed have you planted. How well did you prepare the soil of your life, how patient you have been in nurturing and tending the garden of your life and then harvesting in due season.
It is not a matter of being "lucky" (especially since we do not believe in luck) it is a matter in your own hands, to leverage this law at your benefit or ignore it at your peril. However God does add the increase. We may plant a seed of corn but God will raise up a bountiful harvest of a stalk of corn with many ears and many many kernels in each ear. A stalk may have 6 ears on it or it may have 10, the increase is up to God and the quality of the seed planted and the value of how you nurtured and tended the garden. It still comes down to our personal responsibility with what God has entrusted us with, to bear fruit that remains.
APPLICATION
To be mindful of the way that I tend the issues of my life from my relationships to the words I speak to my finances. Ever striving to plant good seed in good soil.

One of the most effective ways to allow the Word of God to affect your life is to study it inductively. That is what this blog is all about. Typically one verse per day will be mined for insight and then followed up with how I plan to implement that insight practically.
